Residence permit
In order to stay in France, you need
a French residence permit. It will be your identification card in
France. From your arrival, go immediately to the Prefecture of your
city to get a residence permit request form. You will also need the
following documents:
-student card or registration
certificate,
-evidence of accommodation,
-evidence of funds,
-civil status certificate issued
during the past three months,
-some identity photographs,
-a stamped envelope,
-do not forget a copy of your
passport.
If the card is not given to you
immediately, the Prefecture will give you a receipt,
which is a sort of residence permit that lasts three months. In some
cities, you will be asked to attend a medical check up at the
International Migration Office.
