Registering at university of Nantes

Registering dates are usually fixed by education offices. Make sure to have all requested papers with you on the D-day. Registration fees usually consist of:

Fees: 188 euros (at the university of Nantes) in 2006, neraly free for scholarship holders.

French Social security, compulsory when students are more than 18 years old, it costs 186 euros (amount that can increase every year).

Various expenses: medical supervision, sports, and file expenses.

The health insurance company: it is a supplement to the French social security, which cares for your main expenses og health during the academic year , in a certain proportion, about 65 %. So the health insurance company allows you to have an expense coverage up to 100 %. But be careful the more complete the coverage, the more expensive the health insurance fee is. Average price is 100 euros.

For certain establishments, you will have to pay for pedagogic support, concerning photocopies, seminaries, access to computer rooms.
