This is an association governed by a 1901 law. Its full name is Association of Senegalese in Nantes and Surroundings " ASNA ", it is apolitical and independent of any public powers and its existence in time is illimited. The beginning of the association: there was a group of Senegalese students who wanted to develop fraternal and friendly links and also spread cultural and traditional values of their heritage.
The association's objectives are:
- to defend the interests of Senegalese in every field;
- to promote solidarity values;
- to initiate and favour cultural initiative through cultural, sports events and through free time activities;
- to favour initiatives and human actions through long-term development plans;
